Rushkoff with forty audits since 1994.
Rushkoff says that he comes out ahead each time. Still, the IRS is relentless and audits him again.
In the comments section of his blog, Rushkoff writes "Honestly, it's not fear of being caught doing something wrong that had me so upset. It was a feeling of persecution, really, exacerbated by the tone and language of the letter from the IRS. They sent one to my wife, as well, basically offering her amnesty if she turned me in. We've only been married a year - it was our first tax return together, and this is her introdution to the marital financial partnership. Welcome to the machine. "
